We are celebrating 50 Years of Laser Innovation and to mark the occasion, there are plenty of exhibition organised to tell us more about the laser and its use in everyday life.The laser was not discovered from a single breakthrough by one individual, but from a series of developments from Albert Einstein who first developed the idea in 1917, which was later experimented and verified, to other scientists who then completed the research which led to the first patent for a laser awarded in March 1960.There are plenty of examples to illustrate the numerous applications of laser in our daily lives, such as computer transmissions via fiber optics, DVDs, CDs, laser surgery, measurements, advanced hair removal, reading a barcode or removing a tattoo.
